CHRISTMAS LOLLIPOP
AMARU’S FIRST EVER HOLIDAY RELEASE
It took him 3 years to release his first ever Christmas song, but at long last "Christmas Lollipop" is here!
AMARU wrote this song in October 2022 and he initially planned to work on the song for a possible
release that Christmas. As per AMARU's busy schedule, other artistic commitments took precedent and the
release of "Christmas Lollipop" was postponed... until 28 November 2025!
In "Christmas Lollipop" AMARU fuses nostalgia, humor and sensuality with Christmas warmth, creating a delicious
little Christmas love song that will not only warm hearts, but one that will stand the test of time!
The lyrics convey all sentiments of a the Christmas holidays, but "Dollypop", a nickname that stemmed from
a former relationship, is one that echoes throughout the song and which ultimately generated the song's naughty title.
"Christmas Lollipop" is yet again an AMARU MUSIC production from start to finish. AMARU supplied the lyrics, the vocal arrangement,
the composition, the lead and backing vocals, while his long time musical collaborator and dear friend Marcel van Ling was
on the helm of production, along with AMARU. Marcel was also responsible for recording,
mixing and mastering of "Christmas Lollipop"
The single is released digitally as well as on a limited edition 3-track vinyl maxi-single,
adding a collectible element to the project. Photography, graphic design and styling for the artwork were in
the hands of AMARU himself, while make-up was trusted to his long time make-up artist Tessa Giek.

A PIXAR STYLE MUSIC VIDEO
The music video for “Christmas Lollipop” turned out to be a 4 months plus project, one that AMARU regards as his most
daring project as a filmmaker to date! The piece features the male lead character (AMARU as Jolly) and his former partner (as Dolly)
as Pixar animation inspired characters, both based on real photographs of the two.
In the video Jolly and Dolly celebrate Christmas with friends, exchange gifts and do some caroling in the snow.
The two and a half minute long video will soften the heart of even the toughest anti-Christmas person,
as it combines love, warmth, humor and humanity.
