ARTIST STATEMENT

"The story behind these artistic nudes is one of love and nothing but!
Anything that could possibly be wrong with a child, a teenager and a young man was wrong with me, according to certain people!", AMARU explains.

"I have been bullied and teased tremendously about almost any part of my anatomy and my being throughout a certain part of my life and it took me decades to overcome and to deal with my past".

"The minute you decide to stop existing and start living, that's when change happens.
I did that, I started to LIVE for ME instead of everybody else. The photos in my new book
are to celebrate ME in all my glory", he continues. "It took me years to realize that the body is a beautiful, one-of-a kind machine that deserves to be seen! After all, we don't come into this world dressed in Gucci. And in addition to that,  if the pandemic of 2020 has taught us anything, it's that time waits for no one. Initially I intended to do this photo shoot at the turn of 50, the pandemic helped me to speed things up by a couple of years!"
